Upper cover tube
Upper cover tube for the 6T telescopic front fork assembly, also listed under the older H1916 number.
The 97-1916 is an upper cover tube from the telescopic front fork assembly, listed in the catalog under the 6T front fork figure. Older parts books show this same piece under the H1916 number, so if you're working from a pre-metric-numbering manual, that's the one to look for.

This cover sits on the upper part of the fork leg and is part of the outer shrouding that dresses up the fork assembly. Catalog listings place it specifically on the 6T front fork setup, appearing across entries from the mid-1960s.
If you're restoring a set of forks and the covers on the bike are dented, rusted through, or missing, this is the part number to check against your parts book before ordering. Give us a call if you're not sure which cover tube your fork assembly calls for.
