Metalastic bush
Metalastik bonded rubber bush that seats in the top fork yoke to mount the handlebar clamp, PN 97-1527 (alias H1527).
This is the Metalastik bonded bush that seats in the top fork yoke to carry the handlebar clamp. It's a rubber-to-metal bonded bush, so it isolates the handlebars from vibration coming up through the forks while still holding the clamp in place. The older parts books list this same part under H1527, and it shows up across a long run of catalog years in the handlebar mounting and telescopic front fork figures.

Because it's pressed into the yoke rather than just bolted on, replacing it is a job for a press or a drift rather than something you do by hand at the roadside. If the bush has gone hard or split, you'll usually notice looseness or extra vibration at the bars.
The catalog appearances span handlebar and control lever figures as well as several telescopic front fork figures for different model designations, so this bush turns up on a wide range of Triumph twins built with this style of top yoke. Confirm against your own fork and yoke before ordering.
