This is the right-hand folding footrest listed in the 1971 catalog, and it turns up in the exhaust pipes and mufflers section of the parts books rather than under footrests proper, which is common for this era since the footrest mounting often ties into the exhaust bracketry on these bikes. The older parts book form of this number is F13139, so if you're working from an early manual and can't find 83-3139 on the page, that's the same part.

A folding footrest pivots up out of the way rather than staying fixed, which is handy if you clip a curb or lay the bike over gently and don't want to bend a peg or the mount it's attached to. This one shows up specifically in the TR6C exhaust figure, so it's tied to that model's setup in our records.

We don't have a lot more detail on this one beyond what the catalog shows. If you're not sure whether this matches what's currently on your bike, give us a call and we'll go over it before you order.
