This is the sump plate gasket used on oil-in-frame Triumph and BSA twins, catalog number 83-2829, also known by its older 25T designation and as F12829. It seats between the oil filter sump plate and the frame, sealing that joint so oil stays where it belongs instead of weeping out around the filter housing. It's a thin gasket, .020 in., and shows up across the frame and oil-feed sections of the parts books rather than as a one-off item.

Our books tie this part number to both BSA and Triumph. On the BSA side it's listed for the BSA A65, 1971 to 1972. On the Triumph side it covers the Triumph 650 Unit, the Triumph 750 Les Harris, the Triumph 750 TSS, and the Triumph 750 Twin, spanning 1971 to 1985 in our records.

It's a simple part but not one to skip or reuse when the sump plate comes off for cleaning the oil filter screen. Given how often that plate gets pulled for routine filter service, it's worth keeping a couple on the shelf.
