TANK RACK 1960 ON 4 BAR

Four-bar chrome tank rack (parcel grid) for Triumph twins, 1960 on, PN 82-3917.

PN · 82-3917
Available in 2 finishes:
OriginalStainless

This is the four-bar tank rack Triumph fitted from 1960 on, sometimes called a parcel grid, that bolts to the top of the petrol tank to give you a place to strap down a bag, a bedroll, or anything else you need to carry. It's the classic quick way to tell a Triumph twin from the same era at a glance, sitting right up on the tank cap area under the seat nose.

Our catalog carries this piece as 82-3917, with the earlier factory numbers F3917 and WW28574 turning up in older parts books for the same rack. It shows up across our petrol tank figures going back to 1960, so if you're chasing a rack for a tank from that period this is the number to look for.

Condition on used racks matters more than people think — chrome pits, bars bend, and the mounting points can crack from being over-tightened over the years. Worth checking your tank's mounting bosses against the rack before you bolt it down.
