CENTER STAND,PREUNIT 54-57 SHORT PEDAL ARM - USE 82-4763A
Pre-unit Triumph center stand (54-57, short pedal arm), superseded by part 82-4763A.
This is a center stand listing for pre-unit Triumphs from the 54-57 era, specifically the short pedal arm version. The catalog record on this one is thin, and the note attached to it points you straight to the current replacement: 82-4763A. That means this original number has been superseded, and the part you'd actually receive or should be ordering today is the 82-4763A stand.

Center stands hold the bike upright when parked, pivoting from the frame and folding up out of the way when you're riding. The "short pedal arm" detail in the description tells you there was more than one arm length offered across these years, so if you're matching an original stand off the bike, that's worth keeping in mind.
Given the direct replacement note in our records, your best bet is to order under 82-4763A rather than chase down 82-3730 itself. Give us a call if you want to talk through what's on your bike before ordering.
