BSA Washer, bottom, tank mounting, 2 and 4 gallon (5/16" x 9/16" x 3/32")
Bottom tank-mounting washer, 5/16" x 9/16" x 3/32", for 2 and 4 gallon petrol tanks.
This is the bottom washer used at the fuel tank mounting point on 2 and 4 gallon tanks. It sits under the tank where the mounting stud or bolt passes through, spreading load between the tank mount and the frame so the tank doesn't sit directly against a bare surface or crush its own mounting boss when you tighten it down.

The part shows up in the catalog under the petrol tank and twin seat figures as well as tank/controls listings, which lines up with the tank-mounting job the description states. It's a small, plain washer, sized 5/16" x 9/16" x 3/32", and it's cheap insurance to have a couple on hand since they're easy to lose track of when a tank comes off.
Catalog listings for this one run 1969 through 1972 and it also appears under the older 76-12 numbering, so if you're working from an earlier parts book, that's the same washer.
