BSA Washer, top, tank mounting, 2 and 4 gallon (.453" x .906" x 3/32")
Top tank mounting washer, .453" x .906" x 3/32", used on 2 and 4 gallon petrol tanks.
This is the top mounting washer that sits under the tank mounting bolt where the petrol tank meets the frame top tube, used on the 2 and 4 gallon tank setups shown in the fuel tank and controls figures. It's a simple flat washer, .453 inch bore, .906 inch outside diameter, 3/32 inch thick, that spreads the load of the mounting bolt across the tank mounting rubber or bracket so the fastener doesn't dig into the tank itself.

The catalog description is bound to the tank hardware, not tied to a specific model year beyond the 1969-1972 span these listings cover, so if you're chasing an exact fitment year, check your parts book against your tank type first. It's a small, easy item to overlook when you're reassembling a tank, but the wrong washer here can let the tank rock or crack the paint around the mounting point over time.
Worth having a couple on hand when you're doing a tank swap or refreshing the mounting rubbers, since these washers tend to get lost or substituted with the wrong size during past repairs.
