Cylinder Head
Cylinder head casting for the TR7RV, the top-end component housing the valves and combustion chambers.
This is the cylinder head casting for the TR7RV, part number 71-4020. It sits on top of the cylinder block and closes off the combustion chambers, carrying the valves, valve seats, and guides that make up the top end of the engine. Everything about how the motor breathes and seals runs through this casting, so it's one of the bigger jobs on the bench when you're doing top-end work.

The catalog shows this head appearing on TR7RV-specific cylinder block and head figures across the mid-to-late 1970s production run. If you're rebuilding or sourcing a replacement, it's worth checking your engine number and existing casting against your parts book before ordering, since heads on these engines are matched to specific block and valve gear.
Given the scope of a cylinder head replacement, it's a good idea to have your gaskets, valve gear, and any other top-end parts lined up at the same time so you're not opening things back up twice.
