OIL PUMP GASKET UNIT TRI
Gasket for the oil pump body on unit-construction Triumph twins, part number 71-3910.
This is the gasket that seats the oil pump body against the engine crankcase on unit-construction Triumph twins. It shows up in the parts book under the OIL PUMP AND RELEASE VALVE figure, right where you'd expect it, sealing the pump housing so oil pressure stays where it belongs instead of weeping out around the mounting face.

It's a simple, inexpensive piece of hardware, but it matters. A tired or torn oil pump gasket is a common source of a slow leak at the bottom of the engine, and since the pump is tied directly into the lubrication system, getting the seal right there is worth doing properly whenever the pump is off the bike.
Our records show this number, also carried under the older 5T designation, appearing across a wide span of catalog listings from the mid-1970s into the mid-1980s. If you're not sure which oil pump you're working with, bring it by or call ahead and we'll help confirm before you order.
