Inlet rocker box

Inlet rocker box for the cylinder head, part 71-2075, also known by its earlier number E12075.

PN · 71-2075

This is the inlet rocker box, part number 71-2075, listed in the catalog under the cylinder block and head figure. It sits on top of the cylinder head over the inlet valve gear, covering and housing the rocker arms that work the inlet valves. The older factory reference for this same part shows up as E12075.

The rocker box is a cast piece that seals against the head and carries the rocker shaft and rockers, so it takes some engineering to fit right and it's a part you want seated properly with the correct gaskets to avoid oil leaks up top. Our catalog record only ties this one to a single year listing, so if you're matching an inlet rocker box to a specific head, bring your old one in or call ahead so we can confirm it's the right casting for your engine.

We don't have a lot more detail on this one beyond what's in the parts book. If you're rebuilding the top end, the inlet and exhaust rocker boxes are worth checking together for wear at the rocker shaft bores.
