Pushrod tube for the Triumph 500 twin, carrying the pushrods from the crankcase to the rocker box.

Available in 2 materials:

70-9512 is a pushrod tube for the Triumph 500 twin, the tube that carries the pushrods up from the crankcase to the rocker box while sealing the oil out of the space between the barrels and the head. It shows up in the parts book under the CYLINDER BLOCK AND HEAD figures for the T100R and T90, and the same part carried the earlier E9512 number before Triumph moved to the modern numbering scheme.

Because the tube sits between the crankcase and the cylinder head, it depends on the O-rings and seals at each end being in good shape to keep the top end oil-tight, and it plays a part in getting the right crush when the head is torqued down. These are sold and used as a pair, one per side, so if you're pulling the top end apart it's worth checking both.

Catalog records place this one across appearances from 1969 into 1971. Bring your engine or frame number when you order so we can confirm it matches what's on your bike before it goes out the door.
