Oil pipe flex tank, to engine
Flexible oil supply pipe running from the oil tank to the engine, cataloged as 70-8904 (formerly E8904).
This is the flexible oil pipe that runs from the oil tank down to the engine, part number 70-8904. It shows up in the catalog under the OIL TANK figure, so it's part of the oil tank plumbing rather than anything inside the crankcase itself. The older parts books list this one as E8904, which is the same physical piece under the earlier letter-prefix numbering.

A flex pipe like this takes the place of a rigid line where the tank and engine move slightly relative to each other on their mounts, so it has to flex without kinking or splitting. Given how central this is to keeping oil moving to the engine, it's worth a look any time you're doing a general once-over under the seat area.
Our catalog record spans appearances from 1969 through 1974 but doesn't spell out which specific models used this pipe versus other oil line variants in that era. If you're matching this to a particular machine, give us a call and we'll confirm fitment before you order.
