BSA Gasket, primary cover
Primary cover gasket for the clutch/primary chaincase, catalog-listed 1969-1970.
70-7856 is a primary cover gasket, the seal that sits between the primary chaincase cover and the case body to keep oil where it belongs. It shows up in the parts books under the CLUTCH and CLUTCH AND PRIMARY COVER figures, so it's part of that cover-off job whenever you're in there for a clutch adjustment or inspection.

Our catalog listings for this one run 1969-1970. If your parts book shows a different year for your machine, give us a call and we'll sort out whether 70-7856 is still the right number for your case.
As with any cover gasket, plan on a fresh one whenever you pull the primary cover apart. Reusing an old one that's taken a set rarely seals up right the second time.
