END PLUG,TACH DRIVE

End plug for the tachometer drive housing, used on Triumph speedometer/tachometer setups from the mid-to-late 1960s into the early '70s.

PN · 70-5759

The 70-5759 is the end plug used on the tachometer drive as shown in the parts book's speedometer and tachometer figure. It's a small item, but it closes off the drive housing where the tach cable connects, and a missing or damaged one can let dirt in or let the drive rattle loose.

This part shows up across catalog listings from 1966 through 1971, and you'll also see it referenced under the older E5759 number, which is just the legacy letter-prefix form of the same plug.

If you're rebuilding a tach drive assembly or chasing a leak or knock at the drive end, this is worth checking along with the rest of the housing before you put it back together.
