Tachometer drive gearbox (body E5757), the angle-drive unit that spins the tach cable off the engine.
This is the tachometer drive gearbox, part number 70-5755, body reference E5757. It shows up in the parts book under the SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER figure, alongside the drive cable and the speedo drive counterpart.

You'll also see this part listed as E5755, which is the older-style part number for the same gearbox before Triumph moved to the all-numeric 70- prefix scheme. Our records show it was later superseded by 70-5756, so if you're chasing this on a bike built a little later or matching up with a more recent parts book, that's the number to check against what you've got.
The catalog entries we have span 1966 to 1968. If you're not sure whether this is the drive gearbox your instrument needs or the later 70-5756 version, bring in your old unit or give us a call and we'll match it up before you order.
