POINTS CVR CHROME EARLY
Chrome contact breaker points cover for the timing cover on early-1960s Triumph twins.
This is the small chrome cover that sits over the contact breaker points on the timing cover, listed in the parts books as an early points cover. It's the round cap you pull off to get at the points for a check or adjustment without pulling the whole timing cover. Catalog entries for this one run through the mid-1960s, and it shows up under the older E4571 number as well as the current 70-4571 in our records.

It appears in both the TIMING COVER AND CONTACT BREAKER figure and the TIMING COVER, CONTACT BREAKER AND COILS figure, so it's tied specifically to the timing-side cover assembly rather than anything on the primary side. Finish is chrome, which is the main thing to check against what you're replacing if you're matching up an early cover.
If you're not sure whether your bike takes this early version or a later points cover style, give us a call with your frame or engine number and we'll sort out which one you need before you order.
