STATOR STUD SHORT 3.25AL
Short alternator/stator mounting stud that locates inside the primary chaincase, also known by its older E4537 number.
70-4537 is a short stator stud that mounts inside the primary chaincase, holding the alternator stator in place at the 3 o'clock position relative to the rotor. It's a small but important fastener — the stator has to sit square and stay put, and this stud is one of the pieces that keeps it there. Older parts books list this same stud under the E4537 number, so if you're working from a vintage catalog and see that designation, it's the same physical part.

This one turns up in the CHAINCASE AND CHAINS section of the parts books, consistent with its job locating electrical components inside the primary cover rather than anything to do with the chain itself. Catalog appearances run from the mid-1960s into 1968.
It's cheap enough and small enough that it's worth having a spare on hand if you're pulling the chaincase apart for other work — no reason to reuse a tired stud when you're already in there.
