Drain plug
Drain plug for the Triumph primary chaincase, PN 70-4154 (also E4154).
This is the drain plug for the primary chaincase, part number 70-4154, also seen in older parts books as E4154. It sits in the primary cover and lets you pull the oil out of the chaincase for a change without splitting the case or draining through some other route.

Catalog appearances place it in the CHAINCASE AND CHAINS figures across catalog years 1964 to 1968. It's a small, easy-to-lose piece of hardware, and a worn or stripped one will keep the case from sealing properly, so if yours is buggered up or the threads are chewed, swap it out.
Grab a new washer to go with it when you do the job, since the old one is usually flattened out and not worth reusing. Check your own parts book against the number and the alias to make sure it's the one your primary case takes before you order.
