Left silencer

Left-side silencer (muffler) from the exhaust system, later superseded by 71-2017W.

PN · 70-3935
Current factory number 71-2017W — same part, sold under this listing.

70-3935 is the left-side silencer listed in the engine fittings and exhaust system section of the parts books, appearing across catalog entries from 1964 to 1968. It's the muffler that bolts to the left exhaust pipe, quieting spent gases as they exit the head and carrying them out past the rear of the machine.

The part was later replaced in the factory numbering by 71-2017W, so if you're chasing this one down from a later parts book or a mixed batch of take-off parts, that's the number it turned into. The older E3935 form is the same physical part under the earlier alphanumeric style Triumph used before switching to the numeric-only scheme.

Our catalog record doesn't spell out bore size or overall length for this specific listing, so if you're trying to match an original pipe or a particular head, best to compare against what's on the bike or give us a call before you order.
