Stud (2 in. O.A.)

A 2 in. overall length stud (70-3797/E3797) used on oil pump and inlet manifold assemblies on certain unit-construction Triumph models.

PN · 70-3797

This is a 2 in. overall length stud, listed in the parts books as 70-3797 with the older E3797 number still turning up in earlier references. It shows up in the oil pump and release valve figures as well as the inlet manifold figures, so this is a stud used in both those areas depending on which application you're working on - either securing the oil pump body or holding an inlet manifold in place.

The catalog appearances tie it to the single-carburetter and twin-carburetter manifold setups shown for the T90, T100S, T100C, T100T, and T100R model listings, spanning catalog years from 1964 to 1968. Beyond that, we don't have more detail on this one - if you're not sure whether it's the right stud for your oil pump or your manifold, bring in the old one or give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.

It's a small, plain fastener, but on jobs like manifold or oil pump reassembly it's worth having the correct length on hand rather than substituting something close.
