Joint washer, manifold to head

Paper joint washer sealing the inlet manifold to the cylinder head on Triumph twin-cylinder engines.

PN · 70-6772

This is the joint washer, or gasket, that seals the inlet manifold to the cylinder head on Triumph twins fitted with this style manifold. It's a simple paper gasket that sits between the two mating faces, keeping the intake tract airtight so the engine draws through the carburetor as it should rather than pulling in unmetered air at the joint.

Catalog records show this one across single-carburetor and twin-carburetor inlet manifold figures, meaning it was used whether the head fed one carb or two. It's also known under the older 59T reference and appears in some records as E6772 — same part, different number depending on which parts book you're holding.

It's a low-cost item worth keeping a spare of any time you pull the manifold off, since these paper gaskets don't take kindly to reuse once disturbed. If you're not sure which manifold figure matches your setup, give us a call and we'll sort out which gasket you need.
