SPACER,TANK MOUNT BSA A65

Tank mount spacer for the BSA A65, fitted between the steel petrol tank and its frame mounting point.

PN · 68-8012
Superseded by 83-3133.

This is a tank mount spacer for the BSA A65, catalog number 68-8012. It shows up in the petrol tank and twin seat sections of the parts books, where it sits between the steel fuel tank and its mounting point on the frame, taking up the gap so the tank sits properly and isn't rattling against metal.

Our records show this part carried on later under a newer factory number, 83-3133, so if your parts book or an old invoice shows that number instead, it's the same physical piece. Catalog listings for it run from 1969 into 1970.

It's a small, cheap-to-replace item, but on a tank mount, having the right spacer in place matters for keeping the tank seated correctly and free of stress cracks around the mounting points. Since this is a BSA A65 part, don't confuse it with anything off a Triumph twin — the mounting hardware isn't shared across those lines.
