BSA Shim (·010") — crankshaft bearing, left
A .010 inch shim for the left-side crankshaft bearing, used to set clearance during bottom-end rebuilds.
This is a .010 inch shim used on the left side of the crankshaft, part of the bearing setup in the crankcase. Shims like this get used to set up the correct end float or bearing clearance on the crank when the cases are line-bored or when parts are swapped during a rebuild. It shows up in the CRANKSHAFT and CRANKSHAFT-PISTONS sections of the parts books, appearing across catalog listings from 1969 to 1972.

You'll also see this one listed as 68-635, which is just the same part number without the leading zero formatting some catalogs use.
If you're rebuilding the bottom end, it's worth having a small stack of these on hand in different thicknesses so you can dial in the clearance properly rather than forcing things together. Check what your engine actually needs before ordering — shim stacks vary machine to machine.
