Needle clip (99-0510)
Needle clip for the Amal Concentric carburetor, sets needle height in the needle jet.
This is the needle clip for an Amal Concentric carburetor, part number 622/067, also known by the earlier number 99-0510. It's a small split-metal clip that clamps into a groove on the throttle needle, and its position on the needle sets which of several notches the needle sits at inside the needle jet - which in turn affects fuel mixture through the mid-range of the throttle.

It's a tiny part but not one to lose track of when you've got the slide out. The clip lives inside the slide, captured by the return spring, so when you pull a slide for cleaning or inspection it's worth checking the clip is still seated properly in its groove before you put everything back together.
This one turns up across a long run of Amal Concentric carburetor listings in our catalog, spanning carburetor figures from 1968 through 1974. If you're not sure which needle position your bike calls for, check your parts book or bring the carb in and we can have a look.
