This is the rubber cover that fits over the brake hose fitting on the front brake system, part number 60-4626. It sits in with the FRONT BRAKE parts, protecting the hose connection from grit, road grime, and moisture where it meets the caliper or the union at the other end.

The catalog shows this number tied to 1979, and our records note it as superseded by 60-4186 — so if you're working from an older or newer parts book you may see either number depending on when your bike's paperwork was printed. Either way, they're the same physical piece, so check both numbers when you're hunting through old books or bins.
It's a small rubber part, easy to overlook, but a cracked or missing one leaves the hose fitting exposed. Worth a look when you've got the front end apart.
