NUT ROCKER ADJUSTER 500 TRIUMPH
Lock nut for the tappet (rocker) adjuster stud on 350/500 Triumph twins, 1/4-26 TPI.
This is the lock nut that holds a tappet (rocker) adjuster in place once valve clearance is set. It threads onto the adjuster stud at the rocker arm and keeps that setting from creeping once the engine's running. The catalog lists it as fitting the 350 and 500 Triumph twins, and it shows up under a couple of other stampings as well, so if your parts book calls out D4264 or GS662, that's the same nut.

It's a plain flat nut, nothing fancy, but it's the kind of small hardware that's easy to lose track of or run past its useful life. If you're pulling rockers or resetting clearances, it's worth having fresh ones on hand rather than reusing tired threads.
We don't have extensive fitment notes beyond what's in the parts books, so if you're not sure it matches your particular model, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
