This is the lower front brake hose, made in stainless, running 12.5 inches in length. It's the flexible line that carries hydraulic pressure down from the upper hose or brake line junction to the caliper on the front disc brake setup.

Because it's a hydraulic line, this only applies to bikes running a front disc brake with a caliper, not the earlier drum-brake front ends. Stainless construction means a braided outer covering over the inner hose, which holds up well against abrasion and UV compared to a plain rubber line.
