ROTOR INSPECTION COVER,TRIUMPH 1968-74
Alloy inspection cover over the alternator rotor on the outer primary chaincase, Triumph twins 1968-74.

Catalog listings place it on Triumph twins from 1968 through 1974, under the chaincase and chains section of the parts books.

It's held on with three screws and normally seals against a gasket. If yours is scarred up from being pried at with a screwdriver over the years, or the threads for the screws are stripped, it's a straightforward swap - no primary case splitting required to get at it.
