PLUNGER HOLDER T120/3 65-

Camplate index plunger holder for the Triumph 650 gearbox inner cover, also known by its older T2172 number.

PN · 57-2172

57-2172 is the plunger holder from the gearbox inner cover and selectors setup on Triumph 650 unit twins. This is the housing that holds the camplate index plunger and its spring, the mechanism that locates the camplate in each gear position and gives you a positive stop when you shift. Catalog records show it under the T120/3 designation, and it also carries the older T2172 number if you're working from an earlier parts book.

This part works alongside the plunger itself and the spring that loads it, so if you're rebuilding the selector mechanism it's worth checking those parts too rather than replacing the holder on its own. Catalog appearances tie it to the 650 gearbox inner cover assembly.

Our records only show this one appearing once in the catalog data we have, so if you're not sure this is the right holder for your particular gearbox, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
