LAYSHAFT LOW GEAR (27T)
A 27-tooth layshaft low gear for the gearbox internals, later superseded by 57-3999.
The 57-1950 is a layshaft low gear with 27 teeth, part of the gearbox internals shown in the parts book under gearbox shafts, bearings and inner cover. This gear rides on the layshaft and comes into play when the box is put into low gear, transmitting drive between the mainshaft and layshaft assemblies inside the gearbox shell.

This number shows up across catalog listings from 1964 through 1970, so it was a long-running part before the factory revised the numbering. If you're working from an older parts book you may see it listed as T1950, which is the same physical gear under the earlier prefix style.
The factory later superseded this part with 57-3999. If your parts book or a supplier lists 57-3999 for the same position, that's the updated number for this gear — worth checking which one matches what's actually in your box before ordering.
