WASHER, CLUTCH HUB MAINSHAFT - RECESSED TILL 67 - Replaces 68-3025

Recessed cupped washer that seats behind the tab washer and spigot nut on the clutch hub mainshaft, used through 1967.

PN · 57-1045

This is the clutch hub mainshaft washer, part number 57-1045, also listed under its older T1045 designation. It's a recessed washer that sits down in the clutch assembly, forming an abutment behind the tab washer and mainshaft spigot nut within the bore of the clutch center. It's a small part but an important one for keeping that nut properly seated against the mainshaft.

Our catalog notes show this design was used through 1967, with 68-3025 as the replacement number that came after it. If you're working on an early clutch and your parts book lists 68-3025, that's the later version of the same washer location - check which recess profile your hub actually needs before ordering, since the design changed at that point.

It's a cheap part to have on hand if you're already in there pulling the clutch apart, and it's easy to lose track of in the shuffle of washers and tab washers that come off the mainshaft.
