Layshaft selector fork
Layshaft selector fork for the gearbox selector mechanism, engages the sliding gear on the layshaft during gear changes.
The 57-0913 is a layshaft selector fork out of the gearbox, the piece that engages with the sliding gear on the layshaft and physically shoves it into position when you work the gear lever. It lives inside the gearbox shell alongside the other selector components, and it's covered in the parts books under the gearbox inner cover and selector mechanism figures. Older parts books list this one as T913, so if you're working from a vintage manual and see that number, it's the same fork.

This fork takes a fair bit of side load every time you change gears, so wear at the fork end (where it rides in the groove of the sliding gear) is the usual reason for replacement. If your box is missing gears or feels sloppy in selection, it's worth pulling the inner cover and having a look at this part along with its mating components.
Our catalog record spans appearances from 1960 through 1970 but doesn't pin this to one specific model, so give us a call or check your parts book to confirm it matches your gearbox before ordering.
