PN · 47205

This is the RM21 stator, part number 47205, also cross-referenced under the number 99-1006. It's the electrical heart of the alternator setup that lives inside the primary chaincase area on these bikes, and it shows up in the catalog under the CHAINCASE AND CHAINS figure.

The stator is the stationary winding that the rotor spins inside of, generating the AC current that gets fed to the rectifier and on to charge the battery and run the lights. If your charging system is weak, intermittent, or dead, the stator is one of the usual suspects to check alongside the rotor and rectifier.

Our records show this one appearing in catalog listings for 1974, and it's a genuine Lucas part, not an aftermarket substitute. If you're not sure whether this is the stator your bike originally left the factory with, give us a call with your frame and engine numbers and we'll sort out fitment before you order.
