STATOR STUD LONG DUPLEX
Long stator stud used to secure the alternator stator inside a duplex-chain primary chaincase.
This is the long stator stud, listed in the parts books under the CHAINCASE AND CHAINS figure. It's one of the fasteners used to hold the alternator stator in place inside the primary chaincase area, on machines fitted with the duplex primary chain setup. The older book number for this same part is S1866, so if you're working from an early parts list and see that stamped in the margin, it's the same stud you're looking at here.

It's a small, simple item, but if it snaps or the threads pull out you'll have trouble keeping the stator seated square, so it's worth checking the condition of the ones already in your chaincase before you button it back up.
We only see this one turn up in a single catalog listing, so if you're not sure whether your chaincase takes the long or short version, give us a call before you order.
