Base plate
A distributor base plate (Lucas ignition), part number 423113, that carries the contact-breaker mechanism inside the distributor body.
This is a base plate out of the distributor, part number 423113. It's the plate the contact-breaker mechanism mounts to and pivots on inside the distributor body, letting the points open and close as the shaft turns. It shows up in the parts book under the DISTRIBUTOR AND COIL figure, so it's tied to the ignition side of the bike rather than anything in the gearbox or primary.
