BSA Spindle, selector forks
Selector fork spindle from the gearchange mechanism, the shaft the selector forks pivot and ride on.
This is the selector fork spindle out of the gearbox, the shaft the selector forks pivot and slide on as you work the gear pedal. It shows up in the parts book under GEAR CLUSTER and GEARCHANGE MECHANISM figures, so it lives right in the middle of the gear selection assembly, keeping the forks aligned as they move the gears in and out of engagement.

Our catalog record has this part appearing across a few gearbox listings from 1969 into 1970, but it doesn't spell out which specific model that gearbox belongs to. If you're chasing this one down for a rebuild, bring us your gearbox casting numbers or the old spindle itself so we can confirm it's the right length and fit before you order.
Spindles like this take a fair bit of wear over the years from the forks sliding back and forth, so if you're already in the gearbox for a rebuild it's worth checking this one closely rather than just putting the old one back in.
We've never carried this one. Tell us what you're after and we'll go looking — you'll get a price and photos before you commit to anything.
