This is a 230-size main jet for the older pre-Monobloc Amal carburetors, the type fitted before Amal moved to the Monobloc design. The main jet controls fuel delivery at higher throttle openings, so it's one of the parts that has the biggest say in how a bike runs once you're off idle and into the mid-to-upper range.
