Needle clip
The needle clip that locks the throttle needle position inside an Amal Monobloc carburetor.
The 4/230 is the little clip that locks the throttle needle at a chosen height inside an Amal Monobloc carburetor. It fits onto the needle and sits inside the throttle slide, and by moving it up or down one notch at a time you richen or lean the mixture through the mid-range. Small part, but it does real work every time the throttle is opened.

This clip shows up across a long run of Amal Monobloc carburetor figures in the catalog, spanning Triumph twin models from the early '60s into the late '60s. If you're rebuilding a Monobloc or just chasing a flat spot in the throttle response, it's worth pulling the slide and having a look at this clip along with the needle it's holding.
It's a cheap part to keep on hand since it's easy to lose or mangle when you're fiddling with needle position, and a bent or worn clip can let the needle slip and throw off your mixture without you knowing why.
