Cable adjuster
Amal carburetor cable adjuster, the threaded fitting at the top of the carb body used to take up throttle cable slack.
This is the cable adjuster used on Amal carburetors, the small threaded fitting where the throttle cable enters the top of the carb body. It lets you take up slack in the cable or make fine adjustments to idle and throttle response without pulling the whole carburetor apart. The older factory number for this same part was 99-7096, so if your parts book lists that number, it's the identical piece under 4/035.

It shows up across a long run of Amal carburetor figures in our records, spanning the 6T, T90, T100 family, T110, T120, TR6, and TR6R/TR6C listings from 1960 into the mid-1970s, so it's a part that carries over across a lot of Amal carb setups rather than being specific to one model.
If you're chasing sloppy throttle feel or trying to dial in cable freeplay at the carb rather than at the twistgrip end, this is the fitting to check first. Worth keeping a spare on hand since it's a small, easily misplaced part when the carb top is off the bike.
