REAR BRAKE LEVER CONICAL
Rear brake lever for the 1972 conical-hub rear wheel, connecting the brake cross-shaft to the operating rod.
37-4034 is the rear brake lever for Triumphs fitted with the conical rear hub, as shown in the rear wheel section of the parts book. It's the arm that connects the brake cross-shaft to the operating rod, so pressing the rear brake pedal pulls this lever and works the brake shoes inside the hub.

The catalog only shows this one turning up for the 1972 model year, so it's tied to that particular conical-hub setup rather than the earlier or later rear brake arrangements. If your bike has the earlier full-width or a later disc rear end, this isn't the lever you want - check what hub you've actually got before ordering.
Older parts books may list this same lever under the W4034 number, so if you're working from a vintage book and see that reference, it's the same physical part as 37-4034.
