Rear wheel rim WM 2 - 17

A WM 2 - 17 wheel rim, part 37-1397, used in Triumph rear (and some front) wheel builds from the early '60s catalog listings.

PN · 37-1397

This is a rear wheel rim, catalog listed as a WM 2 - 17 size. It shows up in the parts books under the number 37-1397, with the earlier alias W1397 for the pre-current numbering. The rim is the hoop the spokes pull tight to build the rear wheel, and the WM 2 - 17 designation tells you the rim profile width and the 17 inch diameter it's built to.

Our catalog records show this rim appearing in both front and rear wheel figures across 1963-1964 listings, so don't assume it's rear-only without checking your figure against your bike. If you're lacing a new rim onto an existing hub, give us a call and we'll confirm which wheel and spoke pattern it's slated for before you order.
