Tickler

Tickler button for an Amal carburetor float chamber, used to flood the bowl for cold starts.

PN · 343/012

This is the tickler for an Amal carburetor, the little spring-loaded button on top of the float chamber that you press down to flood the float bowl for a cold start. Push it and it holds the float down, letting extra fuel rise up into the bowl so you get a richer mixture before you kick the bike over.

It's a small part but an easy one to lose track of when a carb gets torn down for a rebuild or a clean-out. If yours is stuck, leaking, or missing entirely, this is the piece that needs replacing.

The catalog record ties this one to the Amal carburetor figures without pinning down a specific model, so if you're matching it to a particular bike, give us a call and we'll confirm fitment before you order.
