THROTTLE NEEDLE MK2 2D2
Amal Mk2 Concentric throttle needle, stamped 2D2, part number 2928/124.
This is an Amal throttle needle, part number 2928/124, marked 2D2, for the Mk2 Concentric carburetor. The needle hangs down through the carb slide and rides in the needle jet, and its taper is what meters fuel as you roll the throttle open. The 2D2 stamp is Amal's own code for this particular taper profile, which is how the factory and the parts books tell one needle from another that looks nearly identical.

We don't have a lot of extra history on file for this one in our records beyond the description and the part number itself, so if you're trying to match a needle that's already in your carb, check the stamp on the shank against 2D2 before you order.
If you're rebuilding a Mk2 Concentric and the needle's worn a groove or the taper's questionable, this is a straightforward swap once the slide's out, but get the marking confirmed first since Amal ran a lot of these taper variants across similar-looking carbs.
