Connecting rubber carb to head (2928/123)

Rubber connector joining the Amal Mk II Concentric carburetor to the cylinder head intake port.

PN · 60-7076

This is the rubber connector that joins the Amal Mk II Concentric carburetor to the cylinder head intake port. It's a flexible boot rather than a rigid stub, letting the carburetor seat and seal against the head while absorbing a bit of engine movement and vibration. Without a good one of these, you get an air leak at the intake tract that throws off carburetion no matter how well the carb itself is tuned.

The part number 60-7076 also carries the older catalog reference 2928/123, so if you're working from an earlier parts book and see that number instead, it's the same piece. It shows up in the manifold and carburetor sections of the parts books alongside the Amal Mk II Concentric setup used on the T140E and T140D.

These rubbers dry out and crack with age, which is really the main thing to watch for — a stiff or split connector won't seal properly even if it looks intact at a glance. Worth pulling off and inspecting if your bike's idling rough or hunting for revs at low throttle.
