This is a pilot jet for the Amal Concentric Mk1 and Mk2 carburetors. The pilot jet controls the fuel delivery at idle and low throttle openings, so it is one of the smaller but more important pieces inside the carb body when you are chasing a rough idle or a flat spot just off the closed throttle position.
