Norton Nipple, Spoke
A spoke nipple for Norton wire wheels, used at both the front wheel/brake and rear disc wheel assemblies.
This is a spoke nipple, the small threaded fitting that connects the end of a wheel spoke to the rim and lets you draw the spoke up to proper tension. It's a Norton part, showing up in the catalog under both the front wheel and brake figure and the rear wheel (disc type) figure, which tells us it's a shared component across those wheel assemblies rather than something unique to one end of the bike.

The catalog listing ties this part number to the 1975 model year, and it appears twice in our records, once for each wheel figure. If you're rebuilding or re-tensioning a wheel and need nipples, it's worth ordering enough to do the whole job rather than replacing just a few, since a mismatched set can throw off your truing.
If you're working from an older Norton parts book and the number doesn't match what's printed there, give us a call and we'll square away which wheel and which era your bike falls into before you order.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
