Rubber Ring, Outer Cover
Rubber sealing ring for the outer cover on a telescopic front fork, PN 97-4461.
This is the rubber ring that fits over the outer fork cover on a telescopic front fork, sealing the joint where the fork tube meets the outer cover. It's a small part but it does real work keeping road grit and water off the sliding surfaces underneath, and once it's dried out, cracked, or gone missing, whatever's supposed to stay clean up there won't.

Catalog records show this one appearing across telescopic front fork listings from 1974 through 1980, filed under the older stores number 43-99765 before it picked up its current part number. If you're doing a fork rebuild or just noticed the old rubber has gone hard and split, this is the one to replace — check your own parts book or give us a call if you're not sure which cover ring your bike takes.
It's a cheap enough item to just replace on principle when the forks are apart, since you're already in there.
