STANCHION c/w BEARING
Front fork stanchion with bearing, catalog number 97-1695 (H1695), used in 3TA/5TA and 6T telescopic front forks.
This is the fork stanchion listed with its bearing in the catalog, part number 97-1695, also known under the older H1695 form. It shows up in the telescopic front fork figures for the 3TA and 5TA, as well as the 6T fork figure, so it's a component in the front fork leg assembly on those machines.

The stanchion is the tube that the fork slides on, and here it's supplied complete with its bearing rather than as a bare tube. If you're rebuilding a front end and pulling old stanchions for wear or pitting, this is the piece you'd be replacing along with whatever else the fork internals call for.
Given the different fork figure titles it appears under, double check which fork assembly you're working on before ordering, since 3TA/5TA and 6T forks aren't necessarily built the same way even though this same part number covers both in our records.
