Top bearing
Top bush for the Triumph telescopic front fork, also listed under the older H441 number.
This is the top bush for the telescopic front fork on unit-construction Triumph twins, listed in the parts books as 97-0441 and under the older H441 number before the numeric system took over. It rides inside the top of the fork's stanchion tube area and is one of the two bushes that keep the fork legs sliding true, working alongside the lower bush down at the slider.

Over time the top bush wears and lets slop develop in the fork action, which shows up as vague steering or a front end that doesn't track as tight as it should. It's a normal service item on any fork rebuild, not something you replace on its own — most jobs call for doing both the top and bottom bush together while everything is apart.
This number turns up across a run of front fork and swinging fork figures in the parts books spanning the mid-60s into the early 70s, covering the TR6 and T120 line as well as the 6T. If you're working from an older parts list and see H441 instead of 97-0441, that's the same part under its earlier catalog designation.
